Alongside her wife Œnone Mercier, Gunn acquired the stable in a transformative endeavor to create a haven for horses and riders alike. Previously an artist known for her sculptures, performances, and music, Gunn chose this path after her beloved horse Eros nearly died from illness. Driven by a desire to create a heaven on earth for him, she transitioned her creative energy into nurturing and caring for horses. With a profound respect for these noble animals, Gunn ensures meticulous care and embodies the ethos of responsible horsemanship. Her leadership fosters a harmonious environment and inspires a deep appreciation for the equestrian journey among all who cross paths with Bohème Equestrian. Creative, kind, and hardworking, Gunn’s passion and dedication shines through in every aspect of her work.

Œnone Mercier, co-owner of our esteemed stable, brings a lifetime of passion and expertise to our team. Having been around horses since childhood, Œnone's dream of dedicating her life to these magnificent animals has come to fruition. Her confidence and caring nature make her a standout in the equestrian world. An accomplished rider herself, Œnone's deep understanding of horse care and training ensures that our stable operates at the highest standards. Her commitment to the well-being of both horses and riders creates a warm and nurturing environment for all.

Arès Lavoie

Arès Lavoie, co-owner of our equestrian centre, brother to Œnone Mercier and partner to Laurent Paradis, infuses our stable with his bold and energetic spirit. Despite his vivacious nature, Arès possesses a surprising patience when it comes to working with animals, a trait that endears him to both our horses and clients. Once a dedicated skater, he has now channeled his balancing skills into the art of horse riding. Though still learning and not yet at the level of our experienced trainers, Arès dedicates himself to the care and well-being of our animals with unwavering commitment. His focus on ensuring the best possible environment for our horses exemplifies his selflessness and passion for the equestrian life.
Laurent Paradis

Laurent Paradis, co-owner of our equestrian centre, partner to Arès Lavoie and brother to Aliana Paradis, brings a gentle and serene presence to our team. Known for his sweet, kind, and patient demeanor, Laurent’s quiet nature is a calming influence on both animals and humans alike. He first met Arès at a skatepark during their childhood, and like Arès, he has repurposed his exceptional balancing skills for horse riding. An excellent rider, Laurent’s natural affinity with horses creates an atmosphere of tranquility and trust. His ability to make horses feel at ease is a testament to his deep connection with these magnificent creatures, making him an invaluable part of our equestrian family.
Aliana Paradis

Aliana Paradis, co-owner of the stable and sister to Laurent Paradis, brings a unique and graceful touch to our team. Her passion for horses was ignited when she met the Mercier family. As an accomplished model, Aliana found unexpected serenity in caring for horses, drawing parallels between grooming these majestic animals and her own self-care routines. Her dedication and keen eye for detail ensure each horse receives the utmost care. Aliana's elegance and compassion create a harmonious environment, making her an essential part of our stable family.
